Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
If you enter a name or date of birth in a search tool displayed here, the information is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its results. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond and manage the correspondence. We do not share it outside our organization unless a legal requirement calls for disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
A page request can generate routine technical information about the visit, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved by a website on a device. We use them and analytics services to understand site traffic in aggregate, such as which pages draw visits. Browser controls can block cookies; some site features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Maintaining site operation and performance
- Routing search-tool entries to the provider that operates that tool
- Reviewing aggregate use to improve page content
- Diagnosing errors and service problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect browsing interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host or sell a database of Minnesota warrants or personal warrant histories. It provides general information about public court records and where agencies keep records. Minnesota’s public court portal, MCRO, is not a statewide active-warrant search; the BCA warrant file is restricted to authorized criminal-justice users. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and information collected about site visitors is not assembled here into reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes that appear on some pages. Information entered there is handled under the provider’s own privacy policy. Each provider decides its retention and sharing practices, which we do not control; review its terms before entering information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Minnesota Judicial Branch services, county Sheriff’s Office pages, public agencies, legal resources, or search providers. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy terms apply. Check those terms before sharing personal details.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to track activity across websites and tailor ads. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be handled by the service categories below:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard safeguards for information we collect. Internet-connected systems cannot be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise that a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us so we can review and address it.
Your Data Rights
Minnesota’s Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA), Minn. Stat. chapter 13, governs government-held data; it does not make this private website a government data authority. Under Minn. Stat. § 13.04, a person may request access to government data about themself and ask the responsible authority to correct inaccurate or incomplete data. Public access to agency records is governed by § 13.03, subject to the data’s legal classification. Court case records follow the separate Minnesota Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch. For a request, contact the agency or court that holds the record; a request does not guarantee release of restricted warrant information.
- Ask a government agency to inspect public data it maintains, subject to statutory limits
- Request access from an agency to government data about you as the data subject
- Ask the responsible authority to correct data about you that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Use the applicable review or remedy process if an agency denies a request

We may revise this policy. A revised version will appear here with its effective date so visitors can review how site practices have changed.
